About Us

Talotam Hollow is a fifty five acre farm located in Barren County, which is situated in South Central Kentucky. The landscape is a fertile haven of prime farm land and it's inhabitants are diverse in talents and abilities.

This is a valley where your neighbor anticipates another's need and without hesitation lends a hand to help. We first experienced it's beauty while traveling on a family vacation in November of 1988. Skip returned in the spring of the next year and purchased the farm. The family remained at their daily toil and awaited each and every possible chance to return to the farm as often as they could. Skip retired from law enforcement and I from public service in 2001 and began a long awaited adventure of developing a working farm from the ground up.

Talotam Hollow has a wide of variety of hardwoods , as well as ornamental trees. We have identified the following hardwood trees: Red Cedar, Hickory (Pignut), Red Oak, Sweet gum, Tulip Poplar, White Oak, Sugar Maple, Sycamore, Sassafras, Beech, Winged Elm and Walnut. Our ornamental trees include Corkscrew Willow, Weeping Willow, Pussy Willow, Sumac, Dogwood, Red Bud and Persimmon.
